Bespoke sofas and armchairs, handmade in Madrid since 1954

Studio Bañón is the upholstery workshop Fernando Bañón Sanz founded in Madrid in 1954, still owned and run by the Bañón family. We design and handcraft sofas, armchairs, chairs and benches, piece by piece and made to measure for each interior.

Every piece is born in our workshop: handmade wooden frames, fillings of down, foams of different densities or a blend of both, and upholstery carried out with time-honoured craftsmanship. We work with more than forty textile houses, including Dedar, Pierre Frey, Loro Piana, Jim Thompson and Designers Guild, as well as with fabric supplied by the client.

Interior designers and architects such as Lorna de Santos, Galán Sobrini, Estudio Crearte and Inés Benavides trust our workshop with their projects. Our showroom and workshop share the same space in Madrid: a place to see, touch and choose every detail.

Made to order in 8 to 10 weeks. Delivery throughout Spain and international commissions.
